Alderaan

It looks like GTTV got a behind the scenes look at the making of the E3 video for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The trailer takes place on Alderaan during a large-scale battle between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. In some of the behind the scenes clips, you can see Republic Troopers fighting and in one particular shot, you can barely make out the Havoc squad insignia on the shoulder of one of the troopers. As we learned from the recent Gamespot article, Tavus (from the Threat of Peace comic series) is the commander of Havoc squad, so we may actually see Tavus in action, in addition to some Trooper ass-kicking.

Havoc Trooper

In the clip, we can also see a few images of Darth Malgus without his mask on. Jeff Dobson even gives us a quick overview on the backstory for the new trailer:

In this one, we see the villan, and in the first trailer we see him with his mask on, so we're going to learn a little bit of how he got put in that mask.

Darth Malgus

So it appears that the E3 trailer for this year will be a prequel of sorts, giving us some background information on Darth Malgus as well as giving the Republic Trooper a chance to shine. At the very end of the clip, they show a short 23 second preview of the actual E3 trailer and it's looking like more top-notch work from the guys at Blur.
